Teacher’s Day in Different Countries

Day of the teacher is not the patent in China, many countries celebrate in different ways to pay tribute. But the differences are the history, the name and time. Students who express gratitude to the ways of teaching are also different.

September 10, 2010 is the 26th day of teaching in China, it is an honor and expressed respect for teachers, students and teachers loving days, but already go wrong by an intensification of the gift of some deterioration. Leaving aside the commercial heart to express our best wishes for our teachers, shake and enjoy the expression of gratitude as a gift for our honor and respect teachers.

The situation is completely different in Japan. Once a teacher has been assigned to the district of Osaka, Japan, Ikeda, a primary school teacher for the academic exchange of experience. One day after work, another teacher invited her to his house. took the subway, why the rush hour, the subway is already overcrowded. After half a minute, a rose and beckoned to her, flattered, suddenly. Humility for a long time, the old saying still required to “sit”, “bottom”. He was afraid the old man did not hear, so she accepted. Leaving the subway, his colleague pointed out to her clothes by hand on the badge, “because you are a teacher, he only give you the seat.”

Japan is not only home to install the special master to master the subway, shopping in the street too. Teachers do not have to queue to purchase train tickets, even to receive the government rations of articles is the priority of the teachers …

September 5 th day of teaching in India, which is celebrated as a sign of tribute to the contribution of teachers to society. September 5th is the anniversary of a great master Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch supporter of education, and was known diplomat, scholar, president of India and above all a teacher. In India, it is called the holidays, but the party. That day, to show their honor, some schools make an important decision that the duties are distributed to teaching older students to settle, they should have the class for students in junior experienced the hard work. The school GiVC score based on their performance and identified the best students of the “master”.

While the work of teachers in Britain has been reached, but it’s been a long time in this country, no specific day to celebrate. In 2000, the effort of the British Association and the Chinese school, the third Sunday of October every day is already a Chinese professor. On this day, the United Kingdom in favor of Chinese school teachers held a demonstration in London. Teachers will make a great Chinese ambassador in Britain, London, and community leaders in the name of the Consul General also mentioned.

In a word, the teacher in our heart is noble and great, hard-working contribution to their selfishness, was respected and honored.

Happy Birthday teachers for teachers around the world.

Classroom Decorating Ideas for the Kindergarten Teacher

If you are a kindergarten teacher, it is important to have many classroom decorating ideas at your disposal. By developing an effective classroom floor plan, you will have the ability to create the optimal learning environment. Your role is an important one when it comes to your students. Despite the fact that kindergarten is often viewed as a place of play and a period of transition from the toddler years and nothing more, studies indicate that the kindergarten classroom is highly more productive in the way that students progress throughout their academic career. It is absolutely essential to ensure that your classroom decorating ideas have a positive impact on the kids that will be learning under your direction. Whether it is a simple or complex classroom floor plan, organizing your space plays a vital role in the growth and development of the children that will be part of your class.

In the State of Tennessee in the 1980s, a group of researchers started a study that would examine nearly twelve thousand children, and the paths that their lives took. As of the year 2010, these children were about thirty years old. The study concluded that teachers that specialize in early education had a dramatic impact on the lives of the children that they educated. The study established that the children, who learned a tremendous amount in their kindergarten classes, were more likely to attend college, less likely to become single parents, more likely to earn more per year and were better at making financial decisions. If you are a kindergarten teacher, it is important to ensure that you research multiple classroom decorating ideas. Your goal should be to create a classroom floor plan that will allow your students to learn as much as they possibly can.

When creating a classroom floor plan, the first step is to start with the walls. It is important to use bright, vibrant and eye-catching decorations. Examples include basic types of wall art, decorative wall decals, appealing decorative wall clocks and vinyl murals. The goal is to use classroom decorating ideas that will add a sense of magic to your kindergarten class. Children in this age group absolutely love to explore the world around them. They are fascinated with colors, patterns and various types of artistic touches. In order to create an environment that is tailored to their young minds, it is important to be as creative as possible. By doing so, your child will find that learning the skills that you teach in the kindergarten classroom are more than lessons, they are adventures.

Children learn how to say their ABCs, count, the colors and basic shapes in kindergarten. In addition to this, they learn skills that they will use the rest of their lives such as an enthusiasm to learn new things, the ability to play and share with others, the strengthening desire of independence, and socially acceptable behaviors, thoughts and attitudes. By taking the time to consider an assortment of classroom decorating ideas, you will play a large role in the development of these skills. The classroom floor plan should include children’s furniture, wall decorations, specially designed rugs, as well as an assortment of toys that emphasis team building and relating to others. Start with your walls, and then proceed to the floor area. Keep it youthful, inspiring and educational and you will provide your students with the foundation to academic success.

A Few Reasons To Become A Kindergarten Teacher

When you are a kindergarten teacher you’ll have a huge impact on the social and academic success of your kids. In the following paragraphs you can find information about early childhood education needs and career opportunities for teaching kindergarten classes.

An excellent teaching program for kindergarten level will provide you with the training and experience you require to start a career from the entry-level in this field. Kindergarten kids learn best with the aid of interactive and playing activities. For a pre-school program you can learn how to take advantage of children’s playtime to improve and promote facets of their development, like vocabulary and language, social skills, as well as their knowledge of science and mathematics concepts. You can learn to utilize storytelling, games and rhyming games in which they perform acting parts or even have specific roles.

In addition, you can guide children in games created to develop sociable situations where kids discover how to get along and deal with conflict. The building materials and games with blocks will help them to develop problem solving skills.

The required courses to teach at kindergarten level could include:

* Curriculum Planning
* Theories in Child Development
* Foundations of Bilingual Education
* Integrating Parental Involvement
* Culture and Curriculum
* Child Language Acquisition
* Childhood Learning
* Learning and Play

Skills Obtained:

In an excellent program, it is highly likely that you can gain knowledge of how to develop environments to enhance development; how to cooperate with parents in order to develop certain programs for assisting their kids in any areas where they may require focused interest and how to choose developmentally suitable equipment and materials. Additionally, you will discover ways to utilize evaluation resources in kindergarten; how to effectively communicate with small children and also how to integrate technology in the classroom.

Reasons to become a Kindergarten Teacher:

This level is very important for any child’s growth. A teacher will have a huge influence on a child’s points of views about him or herself, other people and the world in general and this impact could make a positive change later on in the youngster’s social, educational and ultimately professional life. An effective kindergarten teacher will give a young child a healthier view for learning, helping to make it possible for this child to be successful all throughout his school years.

Career Perspective

Probably the most job opportunities can be found within inner city areas where institutions are generally ill-equipped, plus the student populations originate from areas with higher than the average poverty levels. However, qualified teachers will be needed almost everywhere and this field might encounter above average development in the future.

Why Teach Shakespeare?

As someone who taught English for forty years I have to say that my most memorable moments in the classroom were to do with teaching Shakespeare. That’s because of what the students were doing: their response to the text on those occasions could never be forgotten.

One of those moments came when the fourteen year-old boys and girls each memorised a phrase from the reactions the characters have when Juliet is found, seemingly dead, on her wedding day.  Phrases such as ‘Oh lamentable day!’ ‘Accursed, unhappy, wretched, hateful day,’ ‘Oh love! Oh life!’ were used. The room was darkened and a girl lay unmoving on the floor, her eyes closed. There were candles at her head and feet and Renaissance sacred music was playing. The other students stood around her in a circle and, each in her or his own time, came forward slowly and offered the phrase to her as a gift. At the end of the exercise the students were stunned by their emotions.

In the previous lesson they had memorised phrases that Juliet’s father uses towards her when she defies him – ‘hang thee, young baggage!’ you green-sickness carrion,’ you tallow-face,’ and so on. Students took turns to crouch in the middle of a tight circle with the others hurling those phrases at her.

In just two lessons the students had experienced frightening abuse from a parent and the feelings surrounding the death of a family member. And they were real, vivid, experiences. There was discussion after each exercise but every student had felt those emotions, and the talking was informed by that.

That’s the first reason why we do, and must, teach Shakespeare. Shakespeare not only provides every emotion a human being can have but he does it in a way that is real. He creates that emotion with his language and the situations he devises. Good teachers can explore the whole range of human emotion in the classroom and, as we know, that is good education. In such exercises, too, there are other huge educational benefits, such as individual talents uniting in individual enterprises and the experience of pleasure in individual and group achievement.1

Shakespeare’s plays sweep over the widest range of human situations of any writer’s work. They are populated by the people who populate our own lives: mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, friends, sons, daughters, bosses, employees, enemies – in short all the people who populate the world of every generation and always will. In every play the characters are caught up in predicaments involving these fellow travellers in life. We recognise all these dilemmas – a cruel stepmother, an ambitious rival, a jealous sister, a disobedient daughter, a wayward son, feuding brothers, and more. Shakespeare finds the exact language to depict these relationships and dilemmas and all it needs is a good teacher to bring them to students in a way that will connect. Students will then recognise Shakespeare in their own lives and they will learn something about their own dilemmas and relationships from the plays.

Shakespeare’s language provides a model for everyone in the English speaking culture. There has been no writer believed to be an innovator in language and form who wasn’t preceded by Shakespeare. Twentieth century ‘postmodernism,’ for example, has its roots in Shakespeare in plays like Much Ado About Nothing, Antony and Cleopatra, The Tempest, and others. Film scripts are written very much like Henry V. The roots of the musical play can be seen in The Tempest, There would be no point in listing modern forms because the list would go on for a long time. Regarding the language, too, Shakespeare was aware of its power to persuade and to create action. The study of how Mark Antony’s speech to the Roman people in Julius Caesar works will give students a better insight into the practical power of language than anything else could.

Disregarding all the other reasons that educators could give for the inclusion of Shakespeare in the curriculum, those reasons are enough for as long as there are human beings to read them.

Teaching in a Private School

For a teacher who is just starting out, the choice between practicing in a private or public school can be life-changing. The differences are so dramatic so the right choice should be made. Making a difference to students can be a reality or just a dream depending on the choice the teacher makes.

There are four main reasons why a teacher should consider teaching in a private school. They include: thin management structure, small class size, small schools, and ideal teaching conditions. The four reasons are elaborated below.

Unlike a school district, private schools have their own administrative rules to follow. They are not part of an administrative group that alters their methods of teaching. This removes the thought of having to go through different things in order to get an issue straightened out. Because of the considerable difference in the size of population, everything is more manageable. Not only in the number of students, but in the number of co-teachers and other administrators that they have to work with every single day.

Toronto independent schools have the advantage of smaller class sizes. This greatly helps a teacher become effective in his craft. A teacher’s main objective is to share knowledge to let the students learn. In a public school where the number of students can range from 30-40, managing the students becomes the main course of their job rather than to teach. In a private school, teachers are assigned 10-12 students which are obviously more manageable. A teacher can now concentrate on giving the student knowledge while able to concentrate on each student as needed.

Teaching in a Toronto private school also means having more chances to personally connect with students. A private school typically has 300-400 students. At the most they can carry around 1000 students. That is considerably low compared to 2000-4000 students in a public school. This gives the teachers a chance to personally know the students and attach themselves, knowing that some students learn better when they know they can communicate freely with the teacher.

Being in a Toronto private school gives the teacher more ways to be creative in teaching his craft. A public school teacher is bound by certain curriculum that is set by the people in charge. The public school teacher does not have any means of teaching except for the one that is expected. For private school teachers, it gives them the chance to show off their skill in their most productive ways. Having the capabilities to do all these, they can instill the lessons in their students more effectively.

What Can We Get From Officials Teaching Methods?

Becoming a father is one glad thing, that also means oblation at the same time! To word’s leaders, in politics, they play a key roal, but they have kids at home, be responsible for bring up and education children. Here we come to know leaders methods to education children, they may help you to be a good father:

Tony Blair: protect the child’s privacy

As a Prime Minister of UK, Blair’s family was concerned by media. Maybe in this situation, Blair pay great attention to child’s privacy.

To make his own four children grow up in a normal environment, Tony Blair has employed every means as a father.
When Blair’s little son Leo was not born yet in 2000, people talk about Leo’s first photo so much that media had a disputation about who have the first photo. some almost state a price of several million dollars. But Blair refuse it immediately, he just do not make family be involved into society.
At last, he hired an photographer and get a photograph of the whole family, and then distributed free of charge.

Thai Prime Minister Thaksin: Let him take tough environment

Thaksin’s great-grandfather is a Chinese, his family made business and earned much money. He have very strict requirement of his own son and two daughters.

In March 2004, after the little daughter graduated from high school, Thaksin let his daughter work in a McDonald’s restaurant in Bangkok. Meantime, Thaksin also made a special trip to patronize this restaurant “inspection” of her work situation. His daughter captured the media’s attention during that time.

I let her to know more about life in this way, Thaksin mentioned. Money is not the most important, it’s life experience.

He also hope his daughter can make a example for all youngest, make faster adaptation develop a sense of responsibility at the same time.

Vladimir Putin: be expert indecentralization
be expert indecentralization. He never asked his children to do as he told, never ask them do something when children is weary of something, just allowed free development of personality.

Both his daughters feel lucky to have such a father.

Putin’s wife Lyudmila also mentioned that he never against of her education method. He always used to put forward macro views, the details is done by his wife.

Certainly, his effort together with wife’s manage ,his daughters make outstanding results, manage three languages.

Where to Find Character Education Teacher Resources

If a teacher wants to find character education teacher resources they may search the internet for resources. There are a lot of websites that come up when you do a search on character education teacher resources. There are also a number of schools who have created an environment where a person can access character education teacher resources. These schools are actively encouraging teachers to join in the effort to teach character development of children so these children make better decisions, can tell right from wrong or exhibit positive social behaviors to name a few.

There is a list of character development traits on some of the websites that a teacher could use as a guideline in the classroom lessons. There are also lists of discussion topics and suggestions on how to conduct character education. Some topics but certainly not all of them would be to have the students have actual input into decisions that affect them. They may not be able to do this at home but in a classroom situation they may be able to make actual decisions such as how much they may choose to read versus not reading.

Or perhaps they can make a decision as what they would like to have for lunch if presented with different choices. Then when they have made their choices the teacher could start a discussion as to why they made those decisions and what the child thinks the expected outcome might be. For example if a child chooses to have a high fat meal then the discussion could center on self discipline and controlling their impulses. Then the discussion could veer towards the implications of a high fat diet such as obesity. Then the discussion could be about responsibility to the self and what those actions will do to society as a whole. Negative and positive thoughts could be discussed and then the teacher could go toward suitable positive and responsible social behavior and the repercussions of a negative social behavior.

If one does an internet search they may be surprised just how many resources actually are available online. They may also be surprised just how many schools are actively engaging in joining in teaching character education and including it in the spare classroom time or as extra curriculum after school.

A character building session may center on more personal things for a child such as being responsible and choosing the right friends. These are friends that would also have strong character and beliefs in what is right and wrong rather than friends who have the best iPod or wear the right clothes. This too is a character building exercise for a child. If they have to discuss what is important to them in friends they may find they can make choices and don’t have to follow the crowd. In fact almost any situation where children interact is a chance to start a character building session and carry on a discussion. This will help instill values as well as give a child choices.

Teaching Character Education in the Classroom

If character development does not take place at home it must be acquired somewhere else. There are a lot of various organizations that are meant to instill values in children such as the various scout organizations. In fact the Boy Scout motto is Be Prepared and the mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare the children who join their organization to make ethical and moral choices that will go with them for their entire lives. The organization was established over 100 years ago and the values are as valid today as they were then. It is just that children don’t have the parents or authorities or whomever to instill these character traits in them unless they are taught character education in the classroom.

To quote the Boy Scout website, “A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.” And all of these words have meaning. They are good strong words that are meant to reflect good strong children who grow up into good strong adults. Unfortunately many teachers do not have the training to teach character education in the classroom. But there are many schools that have made it their mission to teach character development to the children who enter their schools. These character education schools have taken this responsibility upon themselves. They believe that children taught character will be a benefit to both them and to the society as a whole.

Just as the Boy Scouts of America have values also so do the schools that are teaching these values or character traits. Some of these values are things such as having a suitable and positive behavior, or having respect and compassion for other people. Just recognizing that some people are different and accepting that difference is a part of character education and growth.

There are many ways for teachers to teach character development. One of them is to assign certain reading materials that highlight this character development. Or another way is to engage children who have observed someone who is a bully and get them to interact with each other and the teacher and have them discuss this person. Ask hard questions like do you approve of this behavior or ask them what they would do different. One of the precepts of character education is getting a child to think about their actions and the actions of others. If a child begins to think about different actions then perhaps they will then think of the different outcomes of their actions.

Perhaps the children can write an essay as part of the school assignment so that they are forced to actually give some thought to various actions whoever had taken them. If children are not taught these basic concepts when young such as the Boy Scouts do, then they may have missed their chance to ever learn them. If so they will not be a benefit to society but a burden in the long run which is not beneficial to them.

Character Education Teaching to Sense The Power of Your Heart

Character educators or counselors should teach their students to sense the power of one’s heart through Character education. This will enable each kid to grow into perfect human being who loves others and also who is being loved by all. The inside of your body is an accurate map of our solar system and the universe. Your heart is the sun and the center of your body system. Your organs are the planets, and just as the planets depend on the sun to remain in balance and harmony, so do all the organs in your body rely on your heart to remain in balance and harmony. Let us discuss how teachers can educate their children and make them understand the power of love and being loved through Character Education.

Scientists at the Institute of HeartMath in California have shown that feeling love, gratitude, and appreciation in your heart boosts your immune system; increases vital chemical production; increases physical vitality and vigor; reduces stress hormone levels, high blood pressure, anxiety, guilt, and suffer exhaustion; and improves glucose regulation in diabetics. Feelings of love also create a higher degree of harmony in the rhythm of your heart. HeartMath has shown that the Magnetic field of the heart is 5,000 times more powerful than the magnetic field of the brain, and reaches out several feet from our body.

Other scientists are trying to alter our understanding of the affect of love on our health, through experiments with water. What does water have to do with health? Your body is made up of 70% of water! The inside of your skull is 80% water!

Researches conducted in Japan, Russia, India, and the United States have discovered that when water is exposed to positive words and feelings such as love and gratitude, not only the energy level of the water increases, the structure of the water itself changes, making it perfectly harmonious. A higher positive feeling makes the water become more harmonious. And when it is exposed to negative emotions like hate, the energy level of the water decreases, and a frenzied change occurs, negatively affecting the structure of the water.

If human emotions can change the structure of water, can you imagine what your feelings are doing to the health of your body? The center of every cell is water, and each cell is completely surrounded by a layer of water. Can you imagine the impact of love and gratitude on your body? Can you imagine the power of love and gratitude to restore health? When you feel love, your love affects the water of the 100 trillion cells in your body!

Teach your students through Character education, to use the power of love for perfect health. To receive the health you want and love, you must give love! In the face of any sickness, give good feelings about health, because only love brings perfect health. You cannot give bad feelings about sickness and receive health. If you hate or fear a disease, you will be giving out bad feelings, and disease can never go away through bad feelings. When you give thoughts and feelings of what you want, your cells receive the full force of health. When you give negative thoughts and feelings of what you don’t want, the force of health to your cell reduces! It doesn’t matter if you feel bad about a subject that has nothing to do with your health; when you feel bad, you reduce the force of health to your body. But when you feel love for anything – for a sunny day, new house, friend, or promotion – you body receives the full force of health.

Academic instruction isn’t the only responsibility teachers have in today’s classrooms. More and more, teachers are being called on to teach students about values … things like making good decisions, the showing of respect, taking responsibility, choosing friends, and having a positive attitude. It’s a responsibility that could be overwhelming, considering the limited hours available in a school day, the number of kids in the classroom, and the diversity of backgrounds and personalities each child represents.

Character Education by Just Do The Right Thing” is a practical and powerful tool that equips educators to tackle values training with confidence.
